Altai State Memorial Museum of G.S. Titov

Currently, the museum's exhibitions occupy 700 square meters. The collection includes over 9,000 unique items, narrating not only the life and public activities of the planet's second cosmonaut, German Titov, but also tracing the history of Russian astronautics as a whole, from humanity's dream of flights to the sky to modern spacecraft and orbital stations.

The pride of the museum is the collection of personal belongings of G.S. Titov, photographs and newspapers from the 1960s with autographs of cosmonauts, models of spacecraft and satellites, numismatic and phaleristic items, and food products for cosmonauts. The collection of paintings by the father of the cosmonaut, S.P. Titov, a teacher, artist, and musician, is also noteworthy. In the memorial building of the museum, a part of a log wall with preserved Ural-Siberian painting from the early 20th century is displayed. Featured in the museum are the training aircraft L-29 and the Soyuz TMA-21 descent vehicle located on the museum's estate.

The museum's cultural and educational work aimed at promoting the life and activities of the second cosmonaut is designed for various audiences: schoolchildren, students, specialists, as well as those far from astronautics but interested in the country's history. Currently, the museum employs new, modern approaches in its work. Outreach seminars and meetings are held at the museum. Various educational programs, excursions, film lessons, and workshops are implemented. There is an aesthetic education program for children and young people through art. Excursions

1. "The Amazing World of Space" – an overview excursion of the museum complex exhibitions: "Altai and Space" and "From Springs to Stars," introducing visitors to all stages of the development of astronautics, from legends about the first human flights, based on the paintings of S.P. Titov, to the legendary one-day flight into space by G.S. Titov. Suitable for all visitor categories.
2. "The Morning of the Space Age" – a thematic excursion introducing the first steps in mastering space and the names of the pioneers of astronautics.
3. "The First Cosmonaut of Siberia" – a thematic excursion introducing visitors to the legendary flight of G.S. Titov into space, covering the main stages of the life and activities of the second cosmonaut on the planet.
4. "Altai in Space" - a thematic excursion introducing notable figures in the history of Altai Krai: G.S. Titov, V.G. Lazarev, Yu.V. Kondratyuk, V.V. Tereshkova.
5. "From Springs to Stars" - a thematic excursion through the memorial building of the museum, introducing G.S. Titov's childhood and youth, his family, and the work of his unique father, a teacher and enlightener, S.P. Titov.
6. A tour of the memorial and domestic exhibition "The Titovs’ Family House" - a tour of the house where G.S. Titov spent his childhood and teenage years, recreated to reflect the mid-20th century atmosphere.
7. Interactive excursion "From Fairy Tales to Stars" – a tour of the Children's Museum of Cosmonautics, where children interactively learn about the history of humanity's conquest of the sky and space, beginning with the fairy tale mortar of Baba Yaga and ending with space rockets.

The Altai State Memorial Museum of G.S. Titov is creating special infrastructure for the comfortable stay of different population categories.

For visitors using wheelchairs or with musculoskeletal disorders, the museum provides the following facilities:

• A dedicated and marked parking space for vehicles;
• Equipped external and internal ramps with barriers and handrails;
• An elevation platform is operational;
• All museum doors are wide enough, facilitating access for visitors in wheelchairs or with other mobility constraints;
• A supply of spare wheelchairs;
• An accessible bathroom for people with disabilities.

For visitors with visual impairments:

• Contrast markings on the steps of the entrance stairs;
• Labels for the visually impaired on entrance doors to assist them safely;
• Tactile experience exhibits in each exhibition hall;
• Evacuation plans and explanatory labels with brief information on the exhibition sections, written in Braille, are placed in each exhibition hall;
• All exhibition halls are equipped with a sound notification system.

For visitors with hearing impairments:

• In each exhibition hall, screens (photo frames) display video recordings of the tour lecture material in Russian sign language.
