Brief historical background, collections and exhibitions of the museum
The Zarinsk Memorial of Glory is a historical monument. It is a complex built in memory of the fellow countrymen-soldiers who fell during the Great Patriotic War.
A special place in the complex is occupied by the museum building, which is a distinctive monument in the form of a gray tower with a panoramic depiction of a battle around its perimeter. On two floors, there are 14 sections of the exposition, reflecting the main periods of the Great Patriotic War. Separate stands are dedicated to the Afghan war veterans and soldiers who died in the line of duty in the Chechen Republic and local wars.
Annually, the museum of the Memorial of Glory is visited by more than 10,000 people.
There are about 3,000 units of the main and more than 2,000 units of the scientific-auxiliary funds in permanent storage, related to the events of the Great Patriotic War and local wars.
