Brief historical background, collections and exhibitions of the museum
Municipal budgetary institution of culture "Romanovsky District Museum of Local Lore".
The museum was founded in 1980. The first director was Lyudmila Ivanovna Ezhova, who collected materials on the history of the district's villages in the archives of Altai Krai and Novosibirsk Oblast.
The museum's exhibition reveals the history of the district and its center, Romanovo village, including its ancient history (there are interesting archaeological exhibits) and natural resources. Currently, the main exhibition sections are: "Flora and Fauna of the District," "Settlement of the District's Territory," "Panorama of a Village Street and Peasant's Courtyard," "The Civil War in Altai," "The Great Patriotic War," "Soldiers of Russia of the 20th Century," and "Virgin Soil Upturned." There is an exhibition hall for temporary displays.
Main collection: 3,400 storage units.
