Brief historical background, collections and exhibitions of the museum
The department was formed in 2009 as a result of the merger of the Y.N. Skripkov Mikhailovsky Museum and Exhibition Center and the Mikhailovsky Museum of Local Lore.
The department's collection includes over 4,300 exhibits. The exposition is housed in the local lore hall and the art hall.
- The art hall hosts exhibitions of painting, sculpture, decorative and applied arts, etc.
- The local lore hall presents items found during archaeological excavations in the district, the flora and fauna of Mikhailovskoye, household items of the first settlers and residents of the district center and settlements, and an exposition on the Great Patriotic War.
