Brief historical background, collections and exhibitions of the museum
The collection of ethnographic items and materials on the history of the village has been ongoing since 1996, from the moment a local history club was organized at the Meeting Center. The initiator of this work was Tatyana Nikolaevna Berzo. Until 2000, the work was very intensive; trips were organized to neighboring villages, and quite a few exhibits were collected literally from the streets. Then, after the departure of T. N. Berzo, the work was interrupted. It resumed in 2008; the museum received premises, largely unsuitable and small, but there was no other option.
Unfortunately, the accounting of items in the museum was not kept regularly, so much data about donors and collectors has been lost. In addition, there is no storage facility, and the museum is effectively unable to replenish its collections.
The exposition covers the period from the resettlement of Germans to Russia to the present day.
In August 2018, with the support of the International Union of German Culture (IUGC), a new exhibition was created in the museum – "History, Culture, and Life of Russian Germans." Visitors could see new photographs and documents displayed on portable stands acquired as part of the project.
The exhibition features items of women's needlework, which were placed on a new four-sided stand. These works were made by local craftswomen more than 70 years ago. These are mainly embroidered items – pillowcases, valances, napkins, towels, and several items of women's clothing. The collection includes three handmade carpets.
