Brief historical background, collections and exhibitions of the museum
The museum was founded in 1980 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the village of Mamontovo, on the initiative of the first secretary of the district party committee, Fyodor Demyanovich Ivankov.
The museum's exposition includes departments of nature and history.
- The Nature Department presents the diverse nature of the district (unique forests, abundance of water resources, flora, and fauna).
- The History Department is represented by four halls: "The Native Land in Antiquity," "From the 18th to the 20th Century," "Military Roads, Human Fates," and the Hall of Modernity.
