Brief historical background, collections and exhibitions of the museum
The Loktevsky Museum of Local Lore was opened on May 9, 1985.
Currently, the following expositions are available to visitors:
- "The Great Patriotic War, 1941–1945": A complex of materials about the Panfilov heroes occupies a central place in this hall, reflecting the contribution of Loktev residents to the victory at the front and in the rear. During the Great Patriotic War, seven soldiers from Loktev were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. Among them, three were defenders of Moscow from the 28 Panfilov's Men who blocked the path of Nazi tanks to the capital: V.G. Klochkov, G.S. Mitin, P.K. Emtsev.
- "History of Mining": The exposition tells about the development of the Zolotushinsky deposit of polymetallic ores and the construction of the mine in 1942–1946, which was necessary for the country's defense needs and post-war economic recovery.
- "Nature of the Loktevsky District": The hall presents samples of our local fauna and flora.
- Exhibition Hall.
Most valuable (unique) collections:
- Collection of minerals, ornamental stones, ore and non-ore minerals collected in the areas of the Zolotushinsky, Rubtsovsky, and Zmeinogorsky ore zones – 42 units.
